How to prepare. Place lettuce, celery, peas, water chestnuts, and Bermuda onion in layers in a salad bowl. Prepare the dressing. Scrape the dressing over the top, making sure it covers the salad completely to prevent air from getting in. Sprinkle with cheese, bacon, and egg. Place the salad in the refrigerator for 24 hours.


Cookin' It Up In Texas 24 Hour Fruit Salad

Preparation. Fill bottom of a large bowl (glass bowl makes for a pretty appearance) with approx. 3 Cups of the torn lettuce. Sprinkle with a pinch of sugar and salt and pepper. Layer sliced eggs and sprinkle with salt. Layer peas ( please make sure they are dry ), additional lettuce, bacon and cheese. Spread the mayonnaise all over the top.

1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese. salt and pepper, to taste. frozen peas. Layer the first four ingredients in the order listed above, starting with lettuce on bottom. Mix sugar, mayo, cheese, and salt/pepper. Spoon mayo mixture on top of layered ingredients. Refrigerate and then toss AFTER 24 hours.

When the custard is cold, fold in the pineapple tidbits, remaining marshmallows, and grapes, if using. 5. Done. Then beat the cream with the powdered sugar until stiff. Fold into the salad.
