So it is possible to produce an Black Breasted Florida Fancy, known as the Phaeo. Such a bird will not show the black, but it will show the extensive orange. The Black Cheek Zebra is certainly the most recent of new mutations to arrive in the US. I am uncertain of its exact time and place of its origin but I suspect it was in the mid to late 1970's. I saw a picture of a Black Cheek Zebra dated 1980. This mutation is recessive! Some have mistakenly listed it as dominant, it certainly is not.
