The Citroën Traction Avant is a series of cars introduced in 1934. 'Traction Avant' means front traction in French, and this new model was a series of front wheel drive cars. The Traction Avant was available in five main variants, the 7A, 7B, 7C 11B, and 15/6. These new models were fitted with inline four (7A, 7B, 7C, 11B) and inline six (15/6).

However, the car's fiscal rating was 16 CV, as the Traction's 6-cyl. was a bit bigger than its ancestor's unrelated engine.
