When using the Toon along with the 'Toon op afstand' option, some of the Toon information and settings can be accessed via a simple iPhone app. Eneco's iPhone client for Toon is essentially a browser object, connecting to the 'toon op afstand' web pages at https://toonopafstand.eneco.nl/. The toonopafstand web app consumes an API being served.

The installation by a recognized Toon technician is included in the price. To use Toon, you have to use the € 4.50 Toon subscription (with Eneco) for 1 month, after which the subscription can be cancelled monthly. Without a monthly subscription of € 4.50, you can't use Toon's smart functions, like insight into your usage or remote control.
