Greetings to the Sun is a permanent art installation located on the waterfront of the vibrant medieval port city of Zadar in Croatia. Created by noted Zadar architect Nikola Bašić, the installation consist of three hundred multi-layered glass plates arranged in a circle, encasing solar cells that absorb sunlight during the day.

The Greeting to the Sun also generates enough solar power to light up the entire waterfront. The steel frame surrounding the shimmering blue glass is inscribed with the 36 saints worshipped in Zadar's churches along with their feast days and the sun's coordinates on each feast day.
