One of the more remarkable buildings in Vienna is the National Library's Prunksaal or State Hall, built to plans by one Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach (a man no doubt in need of very wide business cards). Sadly for Fischer von Erlach, he passed away in the year (1723) that his designs began turning into reality.

The main room of the Austrian National Library is the Prunksaal, or State Hall, an impressive room that is more than 230 feet (70 m) long. The enormous room, a splendid example of Baroque architecture, is filled with marble statues and crowned with an incredible dome decorated with stunning frescoes.
