Opnieuw bewijst Nederland hoe hoog het niveau van de Nederlandse musicalacteurs en -actrices is.

Het is augustus 1888. Voor de kust van West-Afrika woedt een hevige storm. Een jong Engels gezin leidt schipbreuk en strandt in de meedogenloze jungle. De musical ging in 2006 op Broadway in première en op 8 juli 2007 viel het doek na 486 voorstellingen voor Tarzan op Broadway. Op 15 april 2007 was de officiële première van de Nederlandse productie in het Fortis Circustheater in Scheveningen.Het is voor het eerst dat een Broadway productie zo snel na de première al te zien was in Nederland.
