1 stalk celery. 3 lg. onions. Add 1/4 cup salt to peppers, celery and onions. Leave 3 hours or overnight. Drain well. Boil 1 pint vinegar, 1 pint water and 2 cups sugar (5 minutes). Add chopped drained mixture. Simmer 5 minutes or until slightly syrupy. Put in jars and seal.
