The MACBA Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona opened on November 28, 1995. Since then, the museum has undergone several changes and renovations to keep up with the times. In 2008, they added a new wing to the museum, designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel. The new wing houses the museum's library, auditorium, and exhibition spaces.
