The lamb comes in big chunks and is tender to a little tough depending on the piece. In contrast to some other recently reviewed frozen entrées from Trader Joe's, there's more meat than rice here. For people who like very spicy hot Indian food, this is a very good frozen entrée. Calories: 390, Serving: Size 1 container Price: $3.99.

Trader Joe's Lamb Vindaloo takes the spiciness up a notch with its vinegary, tingly pepper sauce coating toothsome chunks of meat. This time the side of Basmati rice is flecked with fresh curry and cilantro leaves to balance the flavor of the lamb. Although hotter than some of TJ's other curry dishes, Lamb Vindaloo won't blow your top off.

Moderately spicy (was hoping for a bit more spice like the Fiery Chicken Curry) with a great curry flavor. The lamb is tender and tastes like a refined pot roast. Basmati rice is cooked well and pairs perfectly with the excess curry; I prefer it over the turmeric rice in other TJ's dishes. 9/10 due to desire for a bit more spice and the average.
