Fabulous! I've just returned from my sixth trip to Scotland, and am so stoked to find an authentic oatcake recipe. For those who are somewhat clueless (i.e. Americans) to metric measurements, you'll use 2 3/4 cups of oatmeal (I just ground whole oats with my coffee grinder), approx 2 tablespoons of melted butter and 1 cup of hot water - in addition to the sodium bicarb and salt.
