Located just a few miles from Malham, the local footpaths around Wood Nook give a wonderful views of Upper Wharfedale and Malhamdale. Malham Cove, Kilnsey Crag, Malham Tarn, Linton Falls, Janet's Foss, Gordale Scar and Buckden Pike are all close by.

It's surrounded by limestone drystone walls, with a stream running right through the middle of the village. It offers striking scenery at Malham Cove, an impressive cliff formation of limestone rock. Busy. Par.ked at the farm a mile from the cove for £4 before taking the leisurly stroll to the cove itself. Lovely weather made the trip perfect but very busy in terms of walkers and climbers on the cove face somewhat spoiling the view. Better go on midweek days when less people are vying for pictures or abseiling routes.
