A long trail around Værløse with a fantastic mix of different landscapes. The trail goes through several forests, including Frederiksdal forest and Store Hareskov, where you can enjoy the beautiful green surroundings. The trail will also go along Lake Furresø, Lake Farum, Lake Søndersø and many other small streams and lakes. It is both possible to cycle and walk this trail.
50/50 Minwax "special walnut" and "weathered oak" stain on my red oak
Weathered Oak and Special Walnut (equal parts) had too many brown line and felt a little too red. Classic Gray was definitely a MAYBE. It had the most potential, but I wanted a little more warmth. Jacobean had black lines which was not something we were going for. Weathered oak looks too unfinished.

Minwax testing dark walnut and classic gray 50/50 on red oak no
On red oak, it just falls flat. I don't really know what I mean by that, but it seems to have no life to it, and it appears to have a slight green undertone to it. I also ruled out the Special Walnut. It looks too light, too red, and too washed out. So my favorites are Dark Walnut stain and the mixture of Special Walnut stain and Dark Walnut stain.
