Over the past few weeks I have created my own custom bed rail system out of Unistrut from the local "home" stores. I bought 2 10' pieces of unistrut and cut them a little over 5" for the top, and about 52" I think for the sides. The two longer runs are to cross the bed for my storage rack, or for bikes, etc in the future.

#1 Hi all! Been lurking for a while, and thought I could actually contribute something now. I don't have my Maverick yet, but I have been planning what I want to do for a bed cover and rack system. I want a hard folding or rollup cover, leaning toward folding for security and 100% bed access.

Bed rack using parts gathered from Yakima, US Rack, and Unistrut/Superstrut, with link to uncertainty statement.. are aiding in the design of a winching mount on the garage ceiling that might be able to lift the whole Yakima/unistrut assembly off the bed and stored in the dead space above, bikes, spare tire, and all. Back in, release straps.
